Yay! I just got a new toy to occupy my time during the long train and bus rides from Lakeside MRT to Eunos MRT every day during the work week. Thanks to my wife, I now have a PSP!
OK yes I know, the PSP has been around for some time and now there’s even the new version of the PSP, which is much slimmer (some pics here!). Well thanks to the new release, the price of the original PSP has gone down quite a bit. Price was definitely one of the main consideration points prior to getting it.
Frankly I’m not really a fan of consoles and gaming on a console. I’m more of a PC gamer. I’ve had an Xbox and it is gathering dust for over 3 years. So when the PSP was launched a couple of years ago, I didn’t really bother about it. Just knew that it existed.
Recently though, I got to fiddle with a colleague’s PSP during our long break sessions and boy, was it a real time killer. And then I was hooked. It took me over two weeks to decide whether to get one and finally the boredom of commuting 1.5 hrs a trip took its toll. My wife gladly accompanied me to Sim Lim last Saturday afternoon and sponsored me the cash to get one.
Needless to say, I’ve been playing on it ever since and coupled with the stomach flu that I’ve been having since Monday, I’m damn glad I have something to pass time. And no I do not bring the PSP into the loo with me…
