Happy birthday Ping.sg!
Today marks ping.sg’s 1st year anniversary. Ping.sg is a community meta blog created by uzyn. This is the place where bloggers can “ping” and get their posts listed, sort of like digg.com. Readers can then read the posts and each click on the post generates a “pong”. So in essence, blog writers ping ping.sg and readers subsequently pongs.
I came across ping.sg by chance when I started blogging last year. I don’t really remember the exact details but yeah I just signed up an account on Sept 11 2006, configured my blog and started pinging. Back then, the number of blogs on ping.sg was still small but just recently, there has been an explosion in membership numbers! Wow! I must say uzyn and the rest of ping.sg who helped out in publicizing ping.sg has done a very good job.
Anyway, through ping.sg, I’ve gotten many readers as well as got to know other very interesting blogs as well as bloggers. Just to mention a few friendly and highly entertaining bloggers: eastcoastlife, arzhou, daphnemaia, nicole, malique, rinaz and a whole lot more!
I’m glad to have been a part of ping.sg and to show my appreciation, I will be contributing two engraved wine glasses for the ping.sg awards to be held this Saturday.
I also would like to wish ping.sg success and many many more exciting years to come!
