Finally! The transcription of the interview recording is complete. The whole interview put on paper is about six pages long. Phew! To save the reader from being dumped a whole chunk of information, I’ll be splitting the interview into 3 parts/posts. This is part One. Enjoy!

1) Hi Adam I’ve heard that you made US$10000 within 7 days, how did you do it?
Well basically it’s a long story. In a nutshell, I’m working with Adam Khoo and we’re selling the digital version of Secrets of Self-made Millionaires on the internet. We just did a pre-launch of the product and it sold out in seven days and generated almost US$10000

2) How did you start, what made you start with Adam Khoo?
Well I’ve known Adam for about 5 years already. Whenever I think of a mentor or someone who I look for advice, I would turn to him first. So when this idea of doing internet marketing came along, when I was at a seminar, the speaker said to the audience that if you want to go into internet marketing you don’t necessarily have to start with your own products. You can always look for someone with a product already available and market it online for him. So I thought of that, took the idea, went to Adam, cut the deal with him and that was how it started.

3) Tell me more about your background.
I’m a normal guy. I’m 23, birthday in December. I’m doing my degree studies in SIM. I major in accountancy. I have 2 more years to go, I’m still a student. I do internet marketing in my free time so basically that’s it.

4) What is your experience through internet marketing?
It’s a lot of work, a lot of people think that you can go on the Internet and start making money pretty easily. Well it’s just like your own business, you got to put in your time and effort and sweat and you got to learn a lot of stuff. You got to be serious about it when you want to make serious money. Otherwise a part time effort will give you a part time income.

5) Could you share with us the planning that you took?
Well, when I went for a few Internet marketing seminars. You pick up ideas along the way, and you just start with something and you don’t care too much whether its the right way to do it or not, you just do it first and see how it turns out. So when I was approaching Adam, I had this idea of creating websites for his expertise. We have websites on how to make money, on personal success and excellence, because this is where Adam is very good at. With these websites, we touch on a few topics where one of them is http://www.thewaytomakemoney.com/. You can go there and get a lot of free stuff about how to make money, having the millionaire mindset. The other one I talk about success is http://www.keytosuccesstips.com/. You can go there to find out how to program yourself for success, and millionaire mindset to overcome any obstacles. These are websites that I just started with him, and they turned out pretty well.

6) What are the difficulties that you faced while doing this?
Mainly technical stuff, because I’m not IT trained. So when you go to internet marketing seminars, they really do give you a lot of value. They give you a lot of ideas, a lot of concepts and you come home with a lot of great ideas about how you can actually start a business and start to make money on the internet. But then for a lot of people, for me especially, when you have all these ideas, but you just don’t know where to start, where to click, “where do I go”. When I was doing all these websites and I was doing all the systems up, I had a lot of problems and obstacles learning how to design the website the way I want it to be designed. How to hook up the domain name with the hosting server. Simple stuff like that, I had no idea how to do it. So you just got to find out, got to Google it and find out how to do stuff like that and these were mainly my obstacles. Technical stuff.

7) OK Adam what other websites do you have that is generating income for you right now?
I think I’ve mentioned this, I’m doing the digital version of Secrets of self-made millionaires so you go to Secrets, ah that is mainly where I generate my income at the moment. Have a look at it, that’s one way I do it. I’ve a few other websites that I partner with Adam. One of them way is http://www.thewaytomakemoney.com/ and http://www.keytosuccesstips.com/ as well. These are resource sites, there are lots of articles, free tips and tools and resources that you can make use of. And we generally make income through advertisements, Google Adsense, so you can look at those models as well. Another way I generate income is through my blog, http://www.adam-wong.com/ . You can have look at it. I created this blog because I felt that I needed an avenue to express myself when I was doing all this sh*tload of work on the internet. I figured other fellow internet marketers, beginners would also be interested in reading about a fellow beginners journey through making money on the internet. I type a lot of stuff over there. I have Adsense on that blog as well, that’s one way to generate income. I use the blog to generate traffic to the other websites as well. More traffic always helps so these are mainly the websites that I have that are doing pretty well right now

What lessons in life have you learnt?
Well I was searching for something that I really wanted to do and enjoy doing and I did experiment with other areas before like property but you know, these things didn’t work out for me. I didn’t enjoy doing it even though I had some relative amount of success. Then this internet marketing came along. It just felt right. When I was doing the whole thing, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process. I didn’t mind spending the hours in front of the computer figuring how to get code, stuff like that. So when you discover something that you really enjoy doing, a lot of focus about what you want to achieve. Things just fall into place and the results will eventually come.

9) Before doing this, did you have any prior experience doing marketing and sales and starting your own business?
Not really. Very basic stuff, stuff you read about in books, you go to seminars you pick things up along the way. I don’t really have an extensive background in marketing or internet marketing or how to run a business. All of this is pretty new to me.
